The California Council for Affordable Housing (CCAH) is pleased to welcome Lindsey Dole and Paul Shafer to the team.
Lindsey’s professional background includes valuable experience in the hospitality sector, with significant roles at Kimpton Sawyer and Embassy Suites by Hilton Napa Valley. In these positions, she developed strong skills in administrative management, project coordination, and client relations.
Lindsey has been a resident of the Sacramento area for two years and is looking forward to deepening her connection to the local community through her work with the CCAH. Outside of her professional endeavors, Lindsey enjoys exploring the Sacramento area, planning trips to Disneyland, and seeking out the perfect cup of iced coffee.
Lindsey started with CCAH April 14 and will provide direct support to the the Executive Director, ensuring efficient office operations and contributing to CCAH’s mission. Lindsey can be reached at Ldole@californiacouncil.org and by phone at 916 444 0286 x 260.
Paul Shafer will be joining CCAH as our new Public Policy Manager on May 12, 2025. In this role, Paul will work closely with the Executive Director to craft public policy that supports the creation of affordable housing.
Before joining CCAH, Paul worked for the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) and for the North State Building Industry Association. In his role at CSAC, Paul served as the central resource for advocacy letters, assisted in fatal flaw reviews and drafted educational briefs for legislators and staff. While with the North State BIA, he was responsible for analyzing policies impacting housing, water management and fire protection policies at the Sacramento Regional level in order to advance the BIA’s mission.
We are delighted to add Paul’s robust and diverse experiences, ranging from work within the academic field, working with associations, and his experience advocating for both the private and public sectors to the CCAH team. With a strong, well-rounded background, Paul will be an excellent resource as we strive to support our membership in their mission to solve California’s affordable housing shortage.
Paul will join CCAH on May 12 and, as of that day, he may be reached at pshafer@californiacouncil.org and 916 444 0286 X 263.
Please join us in welcoming them both to their new roles at CCAH!
