Matt Orton to Deliver Keynote at Sold Out CCAH Spring Conference in Napa
Sacramento, CA – May 18, 2026 – The California Council for Affordable Housing (CCAH) is pleased to announce that Matt Orton, Senior Vice President, Head of Advisory Solutions and Market Strategy at Raymond James Investment Management, will serve as the keynote speaker at the sold out CCAH Spring Conference taking place June 8-10, 2026, at Silverado Resort in Napa.
Orton will deliver his keynote address during the conference general session, sharing insight on market trends, economic strategy, and the broader financial landscape impacting the affordable housing industry.
As Senior Vice President, Head of Advisory Solutions and Market Strategy, Orton oversees Raymond James Investment Management’s client portfolio managers, portfolio specialists, RFP group, and Strategic Accounts channel. In this role, he helps align firm resources to serve the company’s most sophisticated clients while also developing and delivering market commentary, strategy, and analysis.
Orton is a frequent financial media contributor and has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and Yahoo! Finance. He has also been quoted in Barron’s, Bloomberg News, Investments & Pensions Europe, and other leading financial publications.
With more than 15 years of investment experience, Orton joined Raymond James Investment Management from BNP Paribas in New York, where he served as Vice President in the Global Equity & Commodity Derivatives group, focusing on hedge fund and asset manager structuring and sales. Prior to that, he worked for Goldman Sachs Asset Management within the Quantitative Investment Strategies team, specializing in volatility research.
Orton earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Capital Markets and Asset Management from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University. He is also a CFA charterholder.

The Spring Conference kicks off on June 8 with a welcome reception beginning at 5:00 pm bringing attendees together to connect and network ahead of the conference programming. General sessions and panel discussions focused on the business of affordable housing will take place throughout the day on June 9 followed by a closing reception on the Mansion Lawn overlooking the historic Silverado Mansion. The conference concludes on June 10 with an optional Policy Roundtable for attendees interested in deeper policy discussions and industry engagement.
Bringing together developers, lenders, investors, policymakers, housing advocates, and industry partners from across the state, the CCAH Spring Conference has become one of California’s premier gatherings for affordable housing professionals.
