The Legislature has concluded its work for the 2025-2026 legislative session. As several state policymakers reach the end of their final terms, CCAH PAC has a unique opportunity to build relationships with emerging local leaders who are preparing to seek statewide office.
CCAH’s PAC Steering Committee has been actively interviewing candidates and evaluating which leaders will be the strongest champions for California’s affordable housing industry. Through this process, the committee is identifying candidates with the vision, experience, and commitment needed to advance policies that expand housing opportunities across the state.
We are proud to endorse Eric Lucan, Marin County Supervisor, in his campaign for California’s 12th Assembly District, which serves Marin and Sonoma counties. Supervisor Lucan has demonstrated a deep understanding of local government finance, housing policy, and the challenges communities face in increasing housing production. His thoughtful leadership and collaborative approach make him a strong advocate for affordable housing and the residents who rely on it.
Regarding CCAH’s endorsement, Supervisor Lucan shared:
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the California Council for Affordable Housing. In my district, where the average home price in Marin County exceeds $2 million, we need strong advocates who are committed to making housing more accessible for everyone. I am grateful for CCAH’s recognition of my efforts and proud to stand with them in the fight to make California more affordable.”
