Sacramento, Calif. — May 1, 2026
The California Council for Affordable Housing (CCAH) announced today that its upcoming conference has officially reached capacity, underscoring continued strong demand for substantive policy and industry programming focused on affordable housing in California.
This year’s sold‑out event follows a deliberate decision by CCAH to move the conference out of Sacramento after outgrowing its previous venue. While the change represented a calculated risk, the response from members and attendees has exceeded expectations.
“We reached a point where our preferred Sacramento venue simply could not accommodate the growth of our organization or the level of engagement we’re seeing,” said Jenna Abbott, Executive Director of CCAH. “Moving the conference was a risk. While we hoped the new location would be well received, we chose to grow thoughtfully, sizing up to Silverado Resort in Napa as our first step rather than choosing a venue that might have been too big. As it turns out, we needn’t have worried. The response has been overwhelming, and we’re grateful to our members for embracing the change.”
Abbott also pointed to the strength of the conference program as a key driver of demand.
“Our conference agenda reflects the real issues our members are grappling with right now—state and federal policy developments, financing challenges, market conditions, and the practical realities of building and operating affordable housing in California,” Abbott said. “We work hard to curate content that is timely, candid, and useful, and I think that’s resonating. This conference is about meaningful conversations and real solutions, and we’re excited to bring that together in a new place.”
Despite the sold‑out status, the conference waitlist is active, and a limited number of sponsorship opportunities are still available. Interested attendees and sponsors are encouraged to act quickly.
