A Message from CCAH Executive Director, Jenna Abbott

As we move into another year of advocating for affordable housing solutions across California, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued commitment to the California Council for Affordable Housing (CCAH). Your support has been instrumental in ensuring that quality, affordable housing remains a top priority in our state.
CCAH memberships run on an annual basis from January 1 through December 31 each year, and that means it’s time to re-up. If you are a renewing member, your membership invoice should already be in your inbox. If you have been a member in the past but dropped in the past year or two, you will soon receive a note from me personally inviting you back.
So why renew or join? Here are a couple I think will resonate with you.
Advocacy Power: When it comes to advocacy, numbers matter. Voices we raise together, member companies who attend our lobby days, the number of units under management or ownership and the count of jobs you provide as an employer all make our influence stronger. Renewing your membership or joining us ensures CCAH continues to represent a broad and active coalition advocating for policies that support affordable housing development.
Representation in Sacramento: The CCAH offices are located in Sacramento and right down the street from the Capitol Building. We spend a lot of time in the Building talking affordable housing and, when state lawmakers look at where affordable housing is being built and for expert voices on the topic, they look to us and our members. Your continued membership helps demonstrate the significant impact our industry has across California, reinforcing the need for ongoing legislative and financial support for affordable housing.
Networking & Industry Insight: CCAH provides vital opportunities to connect with industry leaders through our conferences, trainings and lobby days. We make it our business to keep you up to date on legislation that may affect all of us. We consider it our job to stay informed on key policy changes, and collaborate on solutions that advance affordable housing development. Our sole purpose is to to ensure your business thrives so you and your employees keep creating housing and shelter for the tens of thousands of Californians who need it.
If you’re not yet a CCAH member, we invite you to become part of our coalition and help shape the future of affordable housing in California. We offer three membership levels to fit different types of industry professionals and we don’t differentiate between nonprofit or for-profit tax statuses. In our view, we are all focused on the same goal.
Industry Partner membership is meant for organizations that are not developers or property manager and provide services to the affordable housing industry. Architects, lawyers, construction companies, lenders, syndicators, banks and all the other affiliated services fit into this category.
Emerging Developer or Emerging Property Manager membership level is meant for those developers and property management companies with fewer than 350 units under management or in ownership.
Production-Focused Developer or Production-Focused Property Manager memberships are for those developers or property management companies with 350or more units under management or in ownership.
We have made some improvements to our payment options as well. You can send us a check through the mail or pay by credit card online for a small convenience fee. We also have added ACH as an options. If you are interested in paying by ACH or credit card, please contact us and we will provide you an ACH form or payment enabled invoice.
If you haven’t yet renewed, please check your inbox for your invoice and submit your renewal today. If you are a past member, please watch your inbox for our invitation. If you are brand new to CCAH or have questions about what we do, call us at 916-444-0286, ext. 267 or email ccah@californiacouncil.com and we would be happy to help you join.
Thank you for being a part of CCAH. Together, we can continue to build a stronger, more affordable California.
With Gratitude,
