Why We’re Considering a Move: Exploring Napa Valley for Our 2026 Spring Conference

At the California Council for Affordable Housing (CCAH), we’re proud of how far we’ve come—and how quickly we’re growing. Our conferences have become the go-to gathering place for affordable housing professionals across the state, offering unmatched opportunities for networking, education, and advocacy. With that growth, however, comes the need to evolve—and that’s why we’re exploring a potential move of our 2026 Spring Conference from Sacramento to the Napa Valley region.

Our recent conferences have seen record-breaking attendance, with our Spring 2025 event in Sacramento selling out well in advance. While we love hosting in the capital city, the demand for more space, more breakout sessions, and more networking opportunities has made it clear: we’re outgrowing our current venue.

Napa Valley offers a unique blend of expanded meeting space, beautiful surroundings, and a sense of retreat that aligns perfectly with the spirit of our spring gathering. The region is home to several high-capacity resorts and conference centers that can accommodate our growing membership while offering a fresh and inspiring environment.

Beyond logistics, Napa provides a setting that encourages connection and creativity. The scenic beauty, and world-class hospitality make it an ideal place to step away from the day-to-day and focus on the big-picture issues facing our industry. Napa is also a great place to stay a few extra days and enjoy all that wine country has to offer.

We’re not making this decision in a vacuum. Member feedback has been instrumental in guiding our thinking. Many of you have expressed a desire for more space, more programming, and a more immersive experience—and we’re listening. That’s why we’re asking you to click on the button and take our two-question survey.

We’re currently evaluating venues and logistics, and we’ll be sharing more details soon. In the meantime, we welcome your thoughts and feedback. This is your association, and your voice matters.

As always, thank you for being part of CCAH. Your engagement, your advocacy, and your presence at our events are what make this community so powerful.

Stay tuned—and stay connected.
