Our Spring Conference is just one week away, and we’re thrilled to bring our community together in the beautiful Napa Valley for several days of insightful, educational programming. This is a valuable opportunity to connect, whether you’re building new relationships or reconnecting with colleagues and friends across the affordable housing industry. Moments like these are rare, and we encourage everyone to take full advantage of the collaboration and energy that comes from gathering together.
As part of this year’s conference, we’re excited to highlight two meaningful ways to engage with CCAH’s advocacy and political efforts:
Support Our PAC-Endorsed Candidate
We are pleased to host a special fundraiser in support of our PAC-endorsed candidate for State Controller, Malia Cohen. The event will take place immediately following our welcome reception on Monday, June 8, from 7:30–9:00 PM, and requires a separate ticket for entry. All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the campaign.
Malia Cohen has a distinguished record of public service. Prior to her role as California’s current State Controller, she made history as the first African American woman elected to the California State Board of Equalization, representing 10 million residents across 23 counties. She also served as President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and, as Chair of the San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System (SFERS), led a groundbreaking effort to divest from fossil fuels and thermal coal—redirecting $100 million into a fossil fuel–free index fund.
Malia is committed to continuing this impactful work, and we invite you to join us in supporting her.
Join the Policy Roundtable
On the final day of the conference, June 10 from 9:00–11:00 AM, we will host our Policy Roundtable. This open, collaborative discussion is an opportunity for members to share insights on policy challenges, legislative barriers, and on-the-ground realities facing affordable housing production in California.
CCAH’s advocacy team will also present potential policy ideas that could be developed into future legislative proposals aimed at addressing production challenges. Your input is critical, this is your chance to contribute your expertise, elevate key issues, and help shape solutions.
As advocates, we can only solve the challenges we understand. We encourage you to take part in this discussion and help drive meaningful change for our industry.
