It’s been a busy few weeks with hearings, committee meetings, a looming reorganization of BSCH, conference prep, and new staff starting. We have lots of news to share and you’ll find it all in our most recent, jam-packed newsletter. If you didn’t get a copy in your email, you can sign up on the home page of our website.
First, please let me introduce the new faces around the office.
Lindsey Dole (right in the photo) joined us mid-April as my Executive Administrator. Lindsey has a deep background in hospitality, most recently at the Kimpton Sawyer, and she’s already proved herself to be a great asset. Paul Shafer (center in the photo) joined us one week ago today, on May 12, as CCAH’s new Public Policy Manager. Paul comes to us from the California State Association of Counties where he supported their public policy work and we wasted ZERO time sending him off to a series of committee meetings and hearings on our behalf. I am very delighted to have them both aboard!
You’ll see that our spring conference agenda is available, we’ve secured an amazing Keynote speaker, and we are getting very close to another sell out. With under 20 tickets left and just a handful of hotel rooms remaining in our discounted block, act quickly if you haven’t yet made your arrangements to attend.
Finally, we are making good progress in our bid to get SB 686 across the finish line this year. We will need your voice as we continue this work so please stay engaged and watch for our emails asking for letters of support.
Looking forward to seeing you in June at our Spring Conference!
